1) Web developer

The ideal candidate must display excellent written and oral skills with demonstrated interpersonal and organization abilities. A candidate for this position must be able to work in a varied, fast paced environment. Flexibility and tolerance is a necessity.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned as required.

• Develop new Web applications as identified by supervisor and management through packaged and customized applications.
• Maintain and enhance existing Web applications and all internal systems are integrated.
• Perform complete testing of Web applications as necessary.
• Design and implement user-driven templates, databases and interfaces for ease of use.
• Candidate must be a team player and willing to teach and to learn.
• Liaising closely with a customer at the design and implementation stage.
• Testing websites for functionality in different.
• Responsible for the layout, visual appearance and usability of a website.
• Responsible for supporting the existing infrastructure as well as develop new technologies.
• Fixing errors.

Qualifications:

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

• Bachelors’ degree in computer science or MIS
• Writing web pages in a combination of codes, such as HTML and XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, Action script, ASP.net, or using code-generating programs, such as Dreamweaver and Visual Studio, joomla applications, mobile applications (if possible).
• Must possess superior skills in SQL.
• Skills in e-commerce and server side technologies, such as PHP and .Net.
• Flash video/animation experience is a plus.
• Able to work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines.
• Self motivated and organized.
• Experience with hardware and software issues.
• Proficient in Internet related applications such as E-Mail clients, FTP clients and Web Browsers.
• Excellent communication (oral and written), interpersonal, organizational, and presentation skills.
• 2 - 3 years experience in web development.
• Excellent command in English language

2) Web Designer

Job summary

To be fully responsible for the layout, visual appearance and usability of websites, ensuring that brand continuity is maintained. Develop current sites upon request from clients.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Create design prototypes, including graphic design, site navigation, and layout of content, approval or modification.
• Design websites and ensure they are visually effective.
• Ensure that the layout of the content is accessible and logical; recommend improvements if necessary.
• Create visual concepts that match the content and the image wanted.
• Build websites using technologies that conform to international standards and make sure that they are universally accessible.
• Perform graphical updates to existing websites when requested.
• Take part in the initial planning of a Web site
• Provide technical guidance during website planning and development.
• Mapping or outlining a website's structural content.
• Creating or editing images and graphics for website use.
• Determining all coding requirements for site creation including: e-commerce capability, forms and specialized scripts.
• Creating templates of approved website layout.
• Coding website using HTML, or GUI design software.
• Coordinating with programmers for specialized scripts.
• Creating verbal content for the website or using approved content from the client.
• Integrating verbal content with site design for final product.
• Posting completed site to internet server using FTP software.
• Making changes to the site directed by client.
• Submitting completed site to search engines

Skills / Attributes Required:

• A strong online portfolio displaying user-centered design, and ideally some experience with web database solutions.
• A flexible attitude with proven experience of working in a small team.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to details.
• Advanced knowledge of XHTML, CSS, and of digital imaging and illustration with Adobe Photoshop, QuarkXPress and Illustrator with formal training an asset.
• Knowledge of JavaScript, CSS, PHP and dynamic HTML; experience with Macromedia Flash is an asset & Joomla.
• Knowledge and demonstrated experience with cross-browser and cross-platform issues (IE, Firefox, Safari, etc.).
• 2 ~ years of experience in web design is required
• Very good spoken and written English
